sorry. really busy with midterms.

Ya so the night I was going to publish this stuff I found out that I had a midterm in this class via email. So I was busy completing my floor plan all that night. And for the midterm we had to produce three sketches from two exterior and one interior point on our floor plan. I have pictures of those.

So as an Introduction for this, our fake site is at the Rexburg Nature Park. Its just like red mountain park in mesa. It has a view of a river and has lots of trees and all that. Well when we got there for our visit we parked to the east of our site and we had to walk through a natural wall consisting of a row of bushes, then a row of aspens inside, then another row of tall bushes. It is a pretty powerful feeling as you walk through this because they are all planted in a straight line. here is what it looks like:

this is pretty powerful so I decided to complete this effect. Not such a good building. But when Brother Barker was talking about this idea he told me to just translate this effect into the building. Awesome idea. He told me to practically copy the idea of Renzo Piano, who built an art museum that was just four huge long walls with windows at the end. I did not want to do this. But the idea, amazing. So I started sketching but they all just looked somewhat like Piano's work. After sketching for a while I got frustrated and scribbled as I do. Well I scribbled on a half sketch and it gave me the idea to allign the building with the road and the gallery with the bushes (the bush wall is at an angle to the road that runs in front of it) instead of everything alligned with the bush wall. It was amazing and I ran with the concept and that is what I have now. so heres the sketches and floor plan. the first one is of the gallery. the next three are the midterm sketches and the last is the floor plan.
