One Night I couldn't sleep, so I began to think as I always do. I was thinking about things that I have potential to be good at. The one thing that arose among other thoughts was writing. I dont exactly hate writing, but my track record with English teachers would beg to differ. To that I say bull honkey. The only reasons I got average to bad grades in English was because:
1. English teachers seem to hate me from the get go. No love whatsoever.
2. 90% of essay prompts are restrictive, like a word prison.
3. On top of that you must follow the 5 paragraph format. Put more shackles on me, I dont have enough.
In the above list, only number 2 and 3 are legit reasons behind my bad grades. They both have one thing in common. They restrict my freedom. I don't like that at all, but that was the past and I guess I should move forward.
Luckily I gradutated from high school and broke free from the shackles that held my pen down. So I made my own blog. With my newfound freedom and blog, I threw everything I learned from English out the window. Everything except spelling. That comes natural to me. Little did I know that this strategy would turn ugly. I look back at my past posts and they are all rubbish. The ideas behind them were good but somewhere along the road from brain to keyboard something went wrong. I had turned my talent into a monster. Something had to be done.
I decided that the best time to start doing things right would be now. I would go back into the archives of the brain and pull out everything that English teachers pressed upon me. I'm not that good at acutal writing, but as my arhictecture professor put it, "I'll fake it till I make it."
By now you might think I'll turn into this serious writer that writes about the news and politics. Dead wrong my friend. From the day I started breathing, I have been daydreaming, thinking, musing, ruminating, and pondering about anything and everything. If you transpose all this cerebral activity into books, I would have myself a medium size library. So from now on I am going to start letting loose the category 5 brain hurricane known as Commodore Awesome into the world. It may not be much, but its all I can do for the world right now. That is, until I get superpowers.
