Artie says: Read More!

Hey everyone.  I mean it.  all five of all y'alls.  Since I last posted, I started school at SCC (go Artichokes!)  and thats about all.
I do have a strange schedule.  I have classes on only monday and wednesday, so you'd think I would try to put them close together so I get done quicker.  wrong.  I have a 3 hour gap in between my second to last class and my last class.  That gives me lots of time to read magazines in the library, which I guess I shouldn't complain about.
Having said that, here's some interesting articles I read:
-In the UNTE reader, which is an alternative press magazine that collects awesome articles from other magazines (kinda like this post, but in print)  there is a reprint of an article first published in The Believer about this crazy insane marathon that is extreme beyond all belief.  It makes Iron man triatholons look like a mile fun run.
-In TIME magazine, there's this column in the back that I always read.  Its called the Awsome Column.  I think we're distant cousins.  In the recent column, the author (forgot his name)  writes about trying to get his kid into daycare.  I have an especially favorite part of the column, but I'll let everyone read it for themselves.
-In psychology today on their back page, they have an analysis of president Obama using a picture of him eating an ice cream cone.  I liked the part where they said "as we can see, Obama is holding the cone in his right hand.  this means he is ready to sign a bill with this cone."  that made me laugh.
-In Guitar World, on page 13 or so, there's a small aritcle about Nick Sterling, a kid who I went to school and Orchestra with.  He's now the lead guitarist for Sebastian Bach, a famous metal singer.  Thanks Nick for making all of us in the class of '08 feel like failures.  Just kidding.
-This isn't a specific article, but poynter.org is an excellent website devoted to journalism and such.  They have a lot of interesting articles there.  trust me.
-thats all.  I can't remember mcuh more interesting articles.  I guess everyone's still on summer vacation, including journalists.
