HELLS YAH!
Just scanned in the last of the frames that I kept in a box, and now they all reside inside two accordion folders, for easier access, and now the box feels lonely, but I don't care because I HAVE A MINUTE AND FIVE SECONDS OF CARTOONS THAT I DREW WITH MY OWN HANDS AND NO ONE PAID ME TO DO IT!!! DON'T KNOW WHY I INCLUDED THE NOT GETTING PAID PART!!!!
As of now, if you include the edit frames, I have 721 frames and the I still have to add in edit frames for the last half of the frames. I am darn excited. I still have a lot to do, but at least I have A MINUTE AND 5 SECONDS to show for my work instead of a stack of paper. This is great. I also have a release date of June 2nd-ish. I say that because I don't know how long the music part will take.
On a weirder note, I was thinking lately and if I were to add up all my expenses for this project (light box, scanner, paper, pens, box, accordion folder, clickey counting thing) it totals around the cost of a decent animation program.
haw haw, you could have made a better animation and you chose not to!(say this in Nelson Muntz's voice if you didn't already get the reference)
But then again, who gives a crap? I like doing things the obviously wrong way. You learn more. Much more.
Maybe in the distant future, I will convert to a for realzies animation programme, or maybe not I like my style. scew alls y'alls. I'll do what I want and nobody should care because I don't get paid to do this and I never want to. I won't count out a career in animation though, but I would probably want to go into working animations for title sequences or advertising since I'm just educatedly guessing here, those would be less demanding and easier to find jobs than the dream jobs of working for pixar or cartoon network. But also, I don't know what the future holds, so why guess? just go with the flow and sometimes paddle. Not very motivational at all, but kinda true if you don't want to be stressed out all of the time. all of it.
on a lighter note, here are some of my favorite frames. enjoy.
